Our intent is to hold 4 or 5 classes a year but is based on demand.

All classes are 9 AM to 5 PM. We suggest arriving 15 to 30 minutes early the first day.

This EBI course is the 16 hour required course for certification in Ohio and many states. (However, regulations change on a periodic basis. We suggest you confirm this with your states regulatory agency.) The instructor is a retired Physician Assistant who has also worked in the animal care and welfare field since 1985, and the course reflects these many years of hands on experience. The course is adjusted as needed for all species depending on the needs of the attendees. This is the state approved certification course and on the second day does include a lab during which animals may be euthanized depending on availability. Students have the opportunity to both observe and participate. However, no trainee euthanizes an animal in this class. This is a hands on training, not a lecture. To receive a certificate the students must be present during all portions of the 16 hour course and pass a written test showing competence in the process.
Classes are generally limited to 15 trainees.
Fee schedule
Registration fee $200.00
If paid by cash, check, money order or credit card 2 weeks prior to the class, the fee is $150. We will send a confirmation email within a week to acknowledge payment. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact us by phone.
Certificates are not given until fee is paid.
If your agency requires W9, invoices, or other paperwork we suggest you contact us well in advance of the class.

***If auditing (already certified), fee is $25 for materials. (You will recieve a certificate of attendance not a certificate of completion.)
